Safx,
Your chrome lacks. Try the following tute on it:

Right up the alley for this hot little ride.

@UnCommonGrafx

the tutorial is in my eyes (i am so sorry) false. "real fresh chrom" produced in no situation a ambient occlusion look. chrom means that the surface reflect the environment 100%.
if i have a black environment i have a black reflection in my chrom surface.is my environment green my chrom surface is green...etc.pp...(its a f*cking mirror not more)
chrom produced not realy dark shadows or on the edges of the geometry amb occ artefacts fade out to total black...thats not true...

here a example what "fresh chrome" do in a "real daylight situation."

the chrome reflect only the environment...not more...

I have to agree with UnCommonGrafx, ambient occlusion or not-it still yields good looking chrome-far better than yours.

However i gotta say your modeling and lighting skills are fab-even if i think harleys look like tarts handbags!

I agree with what you've said, safx, but the chrome on that cycle is below what I understand to be your standard. The Fresh Chrome you've shown is what I think yours should look like. Only you know the environment -- to that end, anyone looking at it and not seeing the background in the pic will think it's a composite. No biggie.

In reality, ALL of what we do is NOT. That is, it ain't reality. So faking a 'better' look seems apropo.
