I think it is safe to say that in the near future Newtek will release a patch to allow an update of the Flash encoder used in TC 2.0.

I did some testing recently. I setup a system restore point in Windows first so I could go back to factory specs. I then uninstalled FME 2 and installed 2.5, that supports H.264.

With some editing of the .xml profiles I was able to create a live H.264 stream and push it to our CDN. There were strange side effects, one was that as soon as you started the TC it would immediately begin to push the stream (without clicking start stream etc.)

So there are some bugs to work out, but the ability is there, I am guessing it's just a matter of getting the hooks in the right places for FME 2.5. Let's hope so as it seems strange to me that I have to stream Flash one generation behind the standard.
