dongle driver/LW Discovery mode issue?

I was cleaning my hard drive of excess files and such. I ran disk clean-up in Win 2000. Everything is fine, but then I run LW and get a hardware lock error 212?
Great, so I deleted some driver for my dongle. I found the sentinel driver installation for the dongle and ran it.
Cool, LW starts right up, but now it is in Discovery mode.
I checked my permanent license key, but it is still good.

What do I do?

Try to close all LW-related apps, REMOVE the dongle, uninstall the sentinel drivers, REINSTALL the sentinel drivers and THEN reinsert the dongle. Now start lw again :)
