I'm working on rolling hills of wheat and I'm wondering if it's possible to set up another "layer" of FiberFX that begins at the ends of my current fibers. (Think like "Parent Emitter End" for particles.)

Is this possible?

Here's what my wheat looks like now. This is a tiny section of a huge rendering.

Do you mean to increase their lifetime?

If so, you can set the lifetime to 0 to have them immortalized :)

Very silly, Cougar! ;)

I mean a tuft of fibers coming out of the tip of every one of these fibers.

Ahh. Well, growing fibers from fibers..... I think that's what you mean then..... is way beyond me :)

I did a really quick test and you can grow your base fibers in modeler using the strand modeler just make sure to give them sides. I used 3. Then re surface the tips and grow more off of the tips either with modeler or the pixel filter. It will raise the poly count but thats one way you could do it. Sorry I dont have an image it was a really quick and dirty test. Hope that helps:)

Thanks, I figured as much. Not useful for my purposes as my camera is looking at over an acre of land. I'll just rely on distance to sell the shot.
