Hi all. I wanted to show you some frames of our graduation short. I'll post the movie soon. What do you think. Models where made in Lightwave. Rendered and animated in Maya2008....
Some of the shots where rendered in Lightwave as well. Some of the shots where even animated in Lightwave. (don't tell anyone huh :hey:)

O uhh. the movie is about a Mob guy that's thrown out of an airplane and there is this bird who can't wait to eat him! .......

We had to do it in Maya because of the academy rules. But I'm a real tenacious bastard so I used Lightwave when needed. They where not happy at first but later when the saw the result they didn't care any more. They where actually very happy with the result. I have had so many fights with these guys about using Lightwave. I'm glad that is over now......

I love the designs and the look of it...super work

Just a small thing, if the guy had a gun, why not use it before being pushed out of the plane or is that explained in the short.

hahaha your the first one that noticed that. Kinda funny because a lot of people have seen it already and didn't notice that at all. The guy is really dumb i guess ;).

Ah ah.....he should have gone to school first.

I have a knack for those kinds of things :D

Good work and good luck with the festivals.

ps. I presume you modelled the characters since they were made in LW.

Yup. I modeled every piece of 3D geometry in the movie. I did the lighting and rendering, a big amount of texturing/shading (didn't do the characters textures) and I also did a little bit of animation. And I rigged some little things....

Glendalough: The modeling was done in Lightwave but the rest was done in maya. There where some exceptions. The first and the last shot where done in LW. And The openeing shot was animated in LW....

I really want to show you guys the movie but I'm not allowed to! bggr (and its my movie dammit)

Red_Odd: ...I will grab a cup of coffie at Hos soon. I promissed Bobby also so now I really have to ;) I love to see the progress on the short you guys are making....
