I never used french curves much in design - I always preferred the bendy bit of rubber-encased-lead that I coul dbend into the shape I wanted...
I still use it from time to time.

Nice to hear. Just found a set whilst Spring cleaning and had to think about it.

They were like standard issue here from the very earliest schooling, HS TD aside ; pretty sure they're not from that long ago.

-I think a better option would be to maybe postpone it to a Wednesday?

1990something, that and comp markers, rub down type, technical pens, rubylith, that stuff was expensive. Thank goodness we no long have to choose between drugs or art supplies.

Sometimes I feel cramped by the computer screen and like to draft on paper. SO I keep a set around. I used them last month.

Man ..... it's been over 42 years since I used French Curves in a high school drafting class. Still have them along with my trusty eraser shield, beam compass with extension, proportional dividers, ellipse and circle templates, and a few mechanical pencils. Oh, and that little bag of rosen to clean up pencil lead smudges.

Cutting masks to airbrush FloroColor, so that would have been right up to the time I got a beta copy of Illustrator from this company called Adobe (maybe you heard of them).

At the same time I got a laserwriter.

Summer of 1986. It's been a wild ride since.
