A bit grainy...? Is that a potato?
What did you composite? The pack of salt on top of the table and wall?
Overall nice though, looks like an old-fashioned pack of salt to me...

I'd say it's good since it is hard to tell what you composited and what is real. It looks to me like the "potato" was composited. Am i correct?

i would say both the potato and the salt box are 3d.
french fries anyone

Well it is the "ball" i composited! :) so maby it looks like a potato but it is a ball.=) thanks or the coments anyway!
The picture is taken with a mobile cam. thats why it is so grainy

I'd say it's good since it is hard to tell what you composited and what is real.
exactly what I also thought.
I besides like this grain effect (though of course it depends
on the goal of the pic if it has one, but in the absolute I find it nice)

Thank's Lasco! My goal with this picture is to get better at compositing. thats all realy :) is there some thing i can do better? or is it perfect? ;) hehe thanks again for the comments =)

all right WiskyPapa,
ya need more crits ? think we're too kind ? OKAY…
so 2 more points :
1/ the ball : seems it's been lighted a bit too from the right,
maybe if I consider the llighting of the box the lightning of the ball
should come a bit more from the front…
2/ the ball (still) : I must admit its look seems a bit strange.
I don't mean it does'nt look "real" but that we wonder what kid of ball it is.
3/ the ball (again !!!) : well just that with this angle of view
hem… how could I say in english… it's strange that it is exactly tangente
to the box. One more thing that doesn't look "unreal" but you see it's always
better to avoid such things, when objects seem to be "snapped" between each other - even it it may happen of course !
4/ last point about compositing : this pic is very good but let's admit
that it's easier to do a good compositing with much grain that with a
"clean" pic of course, so if you expect to get stronger in compositing
maybe you should go to the next step and try some more difficult stuff.
Much much harder without grain !!

If you're using DF or another comp program I'd like to see some animated objects. That can be tricky as you know fairly quick how well things like your lights are lined up with the original photo. I try to get it as good as I can in Lightwave and then do post stuff later. Somethings like getting the color matched up is way easier in a comp program or PhotoShop.
What people are saying about the grain is true- it makes things MUCH easier, but then again most photos, film, and video have a lot of grain compared to the "perfect" look of a 3D render.
Please make another with a more complicated model...maybe have another box of salt in the background that's tipped over with some salt on the table...

thank's for the comments, i have never said that it is less easyer to comose in pictures whit grain. The reson is that i did not have any other camera at hand when i took the picture. And as we know Mobile camera's are not as good as the camera's we use at home or at work Etc.
the reson for not usein a more "intresting" model is that i am very new at this "game." And i need to learn how to "crawl before i can run." I started with a ball and now that i know how this "game" is played, I can go on and try with a more complicated model.
Thank's for the comments.

just a question :
you rendered in LW just the ball and now the little character all right ?
guess their shadows (self and cast) are also rendered in 3D ?
well seems there is still a little trouble with these shadows compared to
the box's one.
Can I give you tip (well maybe you already did it) :
put in you 3D scene a box of the same size (well as same as possible)
and at the same place than in you photo, and render.
You will then see if the cast shadow of your 3D box is the same than the one
in the photo, and if not will be able to adjust the angle / position of your light
until the result is really "perfect".

There is quite an edge to the composited objects. The grain needs to cross the edges of the objects. The edges are just too sharp I think. And the self shadows on the character to the right seem just a tad too light. Probably just relative position to the light.
