Have not heard anything about plug-ins for LW8.
Will old plugs work (like "G2") or will they have to be updated or even re-written?
Will LW8 finaly be able to load plug-ins created for PC's?

NewTek has stated its intention to ensure that third-party plug-ins are better supported in the SDK. Currently there's certain data that plug-ins can't access or can't use properly.
The PC and Mac versions of LW still run on differing architecture, so plug-ins have to be recompiled to work on the Mac. This can vary in difficulty depending how the plug-ins have beene coded - if the programmer sticks to the SDK, they can be recompiled fairly easily.
But, basically, no - LW8 won't solve the disparity between the availability of PC and Mac plug-ins. However, all the old plug-ins should work okay (it would be madness if they ALL had to be tweaked!).
