'Ello there!
Excellent job on the show, once again.
I have a request... either you two, or any Newtek employee... could you make some downloadable videos of the stuff you showed at SIGGRAPH? Not SIGGRAPH itself, but just showing like the dynamics and such that you showed at siggraph, like the teaser videos shown before SIGGRAPH.
Thanks!

I've put up a bunch of clips and many people have mirrored them on other sites, but here's a link to get you started:
http://www.tv3d.com/Sig03/LW8.htm
As of this moment, there are 3 QuickTime clips up there from Day 3 of the show. If they work okay and Dan Ablan's
3D Garage (http://www.3dgarage.com) server doesn't melt down, I can put up a few more.
Enjoy!

DaveWarner,
Are you the Dave who is the letters editor in Keyframe magazine? I bought my copy of Lightwave 6 on ebay from you a long while back. I don't know if I ever thanked you for the quick delivery as well as all the extra stuff you included (although, I never got my searchable mailing list CD from you. That's ok, I think that would probably be a little outdated by now ;)

Yep, that's me. I've been really busy the past 18months or so doing non-LightWave projects but I'm getting back into video production and using LW again. When I saw some of the LW8 stuff demoed at SigGraph, I just had to share it with those that didn't have a good connection.
I've taken a hiatus from my KeyFrame column...I was trying to juggle too many things at once but now I'm just kind of enjoying being a LW user again. :-)
Sorry about the missing CD...I still owe a bunch of people a "freebie" and I expect to have something ready in a couple months so remind me again when I make the announcement and I'll take care of you. :)
See ya!

Hey Dave
Heres another question for you - Whatever happened to my entry to the last LWML Rendering contest which I believe was 'Design a logo for LightWave 6' many, many years ago? (1998 I believe)
I entered, but has it ever been judged? Did you just stop at that stage? Or was I the only entry and did I win and you never told me? lol! ;)
Its like the competitions just stopped dead.
Kev. :D
PS. Here's a reminder of what I entered (Ok, so it sux compared to the real logo):
