This update is for Software Update 2.0 only. For STUDIO, that would only apply to units that shipped after June, 2008.

We are aware of the issue and our MIS team is hard at work on getting it back online.

Yeah, it's back up, but I'm not seeing any update to download.

Got a TC Pro, updated to 2.0 in Sept.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but how do you know which version you have?
I bought my Studio in October, it came with build 080428. The check for upgrades page doesn't seem to work, the links show a URL of http://www.newtek.com/# which doesn't seem to exist.

Paul I see your post here in December about a TriCaster 2.0 update but the file on the download page is dated 9-19-2008. Is there something later or is that the one you are speaking about?

If you have not registered your Update 2.0 software you will not see the newest version. If you are running Update 2.0 and you indeed have registered, then call customer service, and they can check the online database to see what the issue is.

Paul,

Thanks for the reply, but I think maybe I wasn't clear in my last post. We do have the 2.0 Upgrade registered and I do see a 2.0 upgrade in the download section. However it says the date is 9-18-2008. It might be helpful if you could let me know what date the latest upgrade is so I could tell if this is the latest.

On another note, it seems to be a little confusing on the version of these updates. Before the 9-18-2008 update some of the 2.0 upgrades said things like Update 4, Update 5, ect..." now it's just a date. I would like to suggest that maybe a more conventional approach like other vendors use for software versions. Like "2.0.1, 2.0.2, ect..." might make things easier for us users to tell exactly what release we have. Just a thought.

Instead of using build numbers, which are arbitrary, checking TriCaster About panel (I believe Ctrl-Shift-Alt-a) will give you the build date such as 080702, which would be July 2, 2008.

I would rather see a build # as well. Much more of an idustry standard. It's easier to compare notes using build #'s rather than comparing build dates. JMHO.
But thanks for clarifying that Paul.

Hi, I'm not seeing the download either. I'm registered as a 2.0 user, I cannot ring the US office, I'm in Australia. My register.newtek username is joshuawithers@me.com
