I made a video tutorial on generating and using normal maps in LightWave. (with the plugins by marvinl@amber.rc.arizona.edu)

It shows all the process and you can download the object and scene files too.

Find it on http://forum.simplylightwave.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=967
(of course it's free...)

here's the object I used, 512 polys:

I'll have to add that they work like a charm!!
Great work by marvinl@amber.rc.arizona.edu

Yah, you guys definitely need to give this one a try, along with Philip's other tutorials. His tutorials are awesome, and easy to follow.

Especially his tutorial on doing 1 bazillion bricks :)

Seriously, he has several free tutorials at simplylightwave worth viewing. Even the pay ones are well worth the cost.
