Ultra-Fast GI Renders?

Does anyone know if this is true?

I'd be really curious to see that happens!... though I'd be very happy.

That'd be great cause after watching the NT stream... it seems like they did a lot for animators... which is good but what about the others(Lighting, texturing,...)?!?

i thought general opinion on this was that people had descided it was becasue it was running on a dual opteron boxx workstation rather than any changes to the rendering engine - would love for somone to tell me this isn't the case though

and jsut curious what workstation was it cause i'm thinking ofa dual opteron machine at the moment and there is a substantial price differnece between the models avaible
