Loading Plugins

Regarding plugins, bear in mind I'm on LW 5.6:

is there a proper way to load plugins?

is there a way to save a default set of plugins so they are always available when you start layout or modeler?


- yes this is in relation to my earlier post to my SuperCelShader problem, I just want to be sure I'm doing things correctly.

go to 'load plug-ins'

point to plug-in folder
L_Click on first, scroll to last plug in
SHIFT L_Click (it should highlight all of them)

click ok

close modeler or layout

it should then save the locations of the plug-ins inside the .cfg file
so when you restart one they should all be there.

any downside to loading all plugins like that?

i just tried what you said, however in 5.6 i can only load one at a time, no shift select. :(

none that I have run into.

I still use 5.6 for the Text tool, as they took it out on later versions ( WHY OH WHY :mad: )

Can't do those neon signs and such

sometimes mine does that too
sometimes it takes them all (some windows problem if I remember correctly)

either way once they are all in they should be saved in .cfg file for later use.

what errors are you getting?

i get the dialogs as attached.

i will try loading all common plugins first. then add supercelshader and see what happens

after adding about 50 plugins... one at a time *phew*... the plugin now works.
