Fading from one picture to another

Hello: I am using a TC Pro. I have 14 pictures in a presentation that I want to manually control in a live presentation. How does one dissolve between pictures? The picture preview and the live picture are always the same picture! Of course, clicking on the name of the picture in the picture list causes the TC to do a cut to the new picture, however, I want to dissolve between these 14 pictures as necessary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried displaying a still picture in the VCR? I haven't tried this on Tricaster, but it works on VT[5.]

If that doesn't work, an alternative approach would be to use the Edit Tab to create a video of each image dissolving from one to the next. Then put that video clip in the VCR, and play it back. Pause it on each picture, then play when you want it to dissolve to the next and pause again.

What you're really trying to do here could be termed a 'slideshow'. Unless you find it works for you to keep manually switching back and forth between VCR/DDR and Picture modules, there's no direct (native) way to do this live ...

Bill's suggestion of creating the slideshow in the editor and exporting it as a video clip would work though.

Thanks guys, both suggestions are helpful, but I don't know the order of the pictures in advance. I have to wait on the lecturer to tell us which picture he needs next. Fortunately, I can just "cut" from one picture to another and that is the way it has to be for now. Thanks again!

Sounds like a PowerPoint to me. Create a PowerPoint and hardwire it into the TC via iVGA.

It can be done with the TC Studio with the use of 2 VCR decks.

Yes as mentioned, just have the entire list of pictures in both "VCR" and "Picture" and you can simply select the next one and use any transition you need to go between them.

Thank you gents! I am new to the Tricaster. I have a Tricaster Pro which has 1 DDR. However, if I load the list of pictures in the DDR and in the Picture bin as rally1 suggests, this allows a professional transition between randomly selected pictures at whatever interval the speaker needs or wants.
