Moving a long a curve at variable speed?

Hello, everyone,

I'd like to have an object in Layout move along a curve from Modeler at variable speed; like a CurveConstraint but with a percentage and envelope instead of start and end frames. Is there a plugin that does this, or have I even overlooked a standard LW tool that could help me here?

Just a quick clarification (seems I am unable to edit my own posts):
I mean variable speed over time. Slow down here, speed up again etc.

I used the technique described here to do just as you describe. Use the Master Channel plug-in to control something running down a curve (if i'm remembering right:D)
