Video card in question

I was just wondering what kind of video card y'all are using? Right now I have a Radion VE all in wonder 64MB ram and it is not good for large models. I was have been looking at GeForce FX 5900 Ultra any thoughts?

I think using an ATI 9800 or nVidia 5900 is going to give you preformance relative to your CPU. The Wildcats, Fire GL, and other true HW accelerators are the ones that really make a difference.

I am using an ATI 9700 Pro with 128 on a AMD 2700 with 1 Gig of Ram. I get good updates in Modeler and Layout but when I load a huge scene it updates real slow.

You can always look at getting the Soft Mods for the nVidia cards. Don't think there are any for the ATI's. Purportedly unlock the GPU to get Quadro 4 performance. Of course if you start getting graphical annomolies in your display, thats a different price you pay
