I am trying to come up with a project for a story idea I made a months ago and I need some help with the whole thing as it would possibly take years to do myself. But I figure with the help of a few people it can get done in a year or less. The problem is finding the help with the limited resources I have. I don't have a scanner yet to provide character drawings or things of that matter. Nor do I have the render farm needed to produce the final frames. I am not that experianced in modeling yet. Plus I work at a job that almost always calls me in because someone is too lazy to work.... oh and I am working on developing my animation skills so I eventually can get that dream job at ILM or Pixar (hehe). Basicly this project is a sort of demo reel material for the future, for myself and anyone involved. But the tasks seem so daunting. Is there anyone else here interested in doing this part time? Like a few hours a week?

Sorry if this post is not really PART of anything else on this board but I work in Lightwave all the time and I come here for a lot of tips and help from the people who populate this board, seems like most of you have a head on your shoulders and not really concerned with flame wars. Please be gentle :D

email me at animate396@popmail.com
if you wish to of course.

Till next time.......

You should atleast provide some more info on the project to get anyone interested. What is the plot? What style is the clip gonna be? Etc... Some Artwork would really help also.

OK - give me a few days to produce some basic renders of the few things I have done, as well as drawings and some detailed info on the actual story. I will have a website done soon for this project, very basic right now.

It's a Christmas story, without any diolouge (sic) and it's about this ferret that manages to escape his little cage and explore and play with the tree, presents and such - it will be animated in time to a song (to be made soon), and ending with the ferret making a present for the family that owns it and returning to the cage nobody knowing the wiser. That is the brief idea of the story, mostly a comical story but with semi realistic rendering and animation using real world physics and such. Yes partical effects and motion designer programming.

I own a ferret as well as a video cam, and eventually when I can buy a vid capture card I will provide reference material. Untill then the project is in the planning stage and still open to modifaction and revision. I still have to write the script itself.

I will have a more complete idea soon with some basic models representing certain scenes.

Hope this helps for now.
