Well does anyone have any?
These are for XP
Here are some:

Control Panel>Power Options>Hibernate Tab>Uncheck enable hibernation

Right Click My Computer>Properties>Advanced Tab>Performance Setting Button>Advanced Tab>Virtual Memory Change Button
Set the Swap File to a drive that isn't used much, size it from atleast 1500 to 3000

Right Click My Computer>Properties>Advanced Tab>Environmental Variables
In the user variables window change your temp and tmp directories to a drive no used often. In the system variables change the temp and tmp to the same location as the user variables. Most of all it helps when it's time to clean files.

Thanks for those...

I've had the above for a while and a small warning. I have had a couple programs not install and/or update properly because the installer for some reason was assuming the usual c:/windows temp directory instead of where I placed it.

I had to temporarily change it back to default to get them to install.

This tip also works well for Internet Explorer by changing the cache path to a separate faster drive.

Set it to a static size so it doesn't change. This works best on a new install of windows when the disk is not fragmented at all. If your pagefile is not fragmented, it will be faster. If it is set to a variable size, it will get more and more fragmented with time.

Turn off all non essential services.
