Will Newtek keep updating Lightwave after Siggraph?

After spent a whold night watching the streaming of LW8 (from Hong Kong) Lightwave 8 is so excellent......just on character setup and dynamics.

I know those guys are working for this, but I would like to ask for more for changes, updates, improvements on modelling, lighting and rendering.

They mentioned this is not the final Lightwave 8, they will develop for the rest of the year, they want to ship around the end of the year or early next year. So we will see alot more comming in Lightwave 8, at least that's what I expect.

Looking great so far hope there will be some modeler improvements comming too.

OK, let me be the first to say it: When will Newtek announce version 9? If they don't announce it soon, Newtek is FINISHED! If they don't do something soon, I'm switching to Maya!

We are showing a small taste of LW8 features.....We chose a few highlites and we are saving the rest for after SIGGRAPH......We chose Layout tools as that seems to be the are that we had the most feature requests from the studios.....

PS. remember that we have different groups of people that come to the booth throught the day.....while you may be watching teh stream all day and seeing the same thing all the time...it's new to the people at the show.....again...enjoy the stream.

I was watching last night (from the UK, posting little tidbits on 8 here, this streaming video is GREAT!) till 1 am, I just want to know should I stay up again? LOL
