only starts in discovery edition !!

I have recently upgraded to win XP pro and reinstalled everything.
Lightwave was running fine, in the full version with my USB dongle. Today I boot my computer and it will only start discovery edition. !!! I checked and my license file is still intact. the light on my dongle is still on.

I am at a loss.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to reinstall the dongle drivers and see if that helps.

You might try looking in Device Manager and see if the dongle is actually working - I don't know if the light being on means anything or not. It should show up as 'Rainbow SuperPro' or something similar (I'm away from my LW machine at the moment.)

I also had this problem when originally setting up - it wouldn't work unless I did a full install of the dongle drivers (including the parallel port driver.) I thought this a bit odd, as the dongle is a USB device.

Thanks for your help. I just moved my dongle to another port and it auto-installed the rainbow superpro hardware key from my install disk. this time I used the full install like you said.
