I'm pretty new to the video production world so excuse my lack of knowledge. We are getting ready to purchase a Tricaster Studio and a couple of cameras. The cameras we are looking at purchasing are Sony BRC-300 P/T/Z, and a JVC GY-HD110U. My question is how well does the tricaster match different cameras? In the past we have rented equipment to record a few special shows, and the cameras were different and you could tell when switching from one to the other. This was after the rental company had changed all the settings on both cameras. Is this a, have to mess with all the settings on both cameras until they match pretty good, situation? Or, based on the training videos i've watched, does the tricaster make these setting changes for you? Again sorry for not using correct terminology. Thanks.

TriCaster does a great job getting them close. But "in my opinion", you'll be hard pressed to get an "identical look" from two different "models" of cameras. Especially from two different manufacturers.

It all depends on the project, but for most projects you should be fine though. We've been doing it.
But if you have not bought yet, and you'll be doing this a lot, I'd try and get matching cameras. It'll make your life easier.

This Sony camera does not generate color bars! So it is even more difficult to match.

Good luck, James
