Hey anyone, is there a way to load a riged character in a scene that already has a riged character without mess with schematic view?

Do you mean after you have laid out the Schematic view in a scene and want to load that character with the schematic view intact? I think as of 9.0 it changed so that you can load items from scene and it will load the Schematic. Prior versions require a plugin if I remember correctly. Try www.flay.com (http://www.flay.com)

The schematic view has nothing to do with loading another character.
Use load from scene command to load the other rig.

Yeah but Larry, didn't it used to be that the "Load items from scene" would not load the schematic you set up in that scene? It does now, I think as of 9.0.

I stopped using it a long time ago mainly because its a real pain to arrange things and not worth the time IMO. Its another part of LW that should have been worked on to make it really useful or ditched for something better. :)

Well, the problem is: I rig a character in layout and organize the schematic, then i save the scene and then i rig another character, the problem begins when i want to "load itens from a scene" and i point to the first character to animate both together and the schematic view of both characters becomes messed. I will dig a little at www.flay.com and see what i can find. Thank you guys!

OK. What version are you using?
And just for the sake of the test, what happens if you clone a character? Does it do the same thing? Or is it only from load scene.

OK. I am getting the same thing actually. This should not happen. Are you familiar with the bug reporting here? There is a section on the forum that explains it.
A sample scene would help. (You can replace the object with a null) I'll see if I can do the same.
And this is a little weird and buggy because it has crashed a couple of times on me and also I am getting strange results when I try and clone something. Goal objects that have the same names shared for some reason.
But loading from scene is definitely bugged as far as the Schematic view is concerned.

OK here is the page with bug reporting instructions (http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73226).
What you can do is just replace the character with a null and save out a scene. Then you can zip that. Save two scenes one for each character and include those with a description of your problem. I will do the same.

Ok, Thanks alot!
I suggest you can use a free plugin "load items from scene plus" (from Dstorm?..)...It can load the organized schematic view.I don't know why NT can't improve this way.
For myself I used a schema save/load plugin from Japanesse.

Thanks for that. It was the plugin I was thinking. That may be an immediate fix. I'll need it too. :)
