Maybe some of you have seen this before, maybe not - A pentium cpu being overclocked to 5.25 ghz.

Woulda been more cool if they'd have shown some actual apps using it at that speed.

And then the CPU went so fast that the RAM got scared. ;)

I remember some games on Amiga 500 that were directly affected by cpu speeds..games like stunt racer was insanely fast (not just frames per sec..everything was supowerfast) on a pentium 120.

id love to see someone manage to play the game on that super overclocked machine.

Now THAT's what I call liquid cooled!

I can't believe they pushed that thing to almost 2v without it crossing lanes and frying the thing. Pretty impressive.

If you follow some of those You Tube similar videos links on that page, there's also some extreme processor abuse videos, where they're removing the cpu hsf's during 3D Mark benchmark tests.
One shows a K6 Athlon cpu reaching a temperature of nearly 700 degrees F before melting down. I wouldn't have thought it possible for such a cpu to reach a temperature that high. My oven can't even get that hot.
