Just thought I'd drop a quick note here, in hopes some of our Newtek folks will take a peak. This past week Leo Laportes (twitlive.tv) Tricaster Studio died. Leo has been speaking highly of his Tricaster and many people, myself included, enjoy watching his shows.

On his forums some of the "Twits" have been taking jabs at the Tricaster. I've spoke up to defend it. Some of the Twits are nuts and like to bash things without knowing the real deal.

So I guess my point is, let's prove them wrong and get Leo back up and running. Newtek has always taken care of me for over 10 years now. I just don't want a bunch of these guys tearing them down.

J.

ps. Maybe Leo needs a VT[5] box with ultra water cooling as much as he uses his Tricaster. :)

Like any other peice of electronic equipment, it can break. It's so affordable, that having an extra is a good idea. Call NewTek tech support, they'll issue a RMA, and if you ship it to them NEXT DAY, they'll ship it back NEXT DAY.

Good points Blaine, but I'm not sure everyone who buys a Tricaster can by two. And for some, that is definately not an acceptable solution.

Just to be clear, this is not my Tricaster, this is Leo Laporte's and I'm one of his listeners. I'm not sure who is his dealer, or if he works with Newtek direct. On Sunday he was mentioning that he needs to email Phillip which I assume is Mr. Nelson.

My main reason/point for the post was to get the info out here, and hope one of our Newtek guys would pick up on it and reach out to Leo. Leo has a pretty large following of very vocal people. I don't want them making people think Newtek makes crap products. I want them to know Newteks products are great, and they have excellent support.
