I was hoping that VT3 would change the way VTEdit creates the project file and a folder full of Undo/Redo's. Don't get me wrong I love the undo's just never like the way the folders and files names together clutters up the file bin and requesters. In VT3 it is the same, but I found something that works well for me and thought I would pass it along.

Go into your project folder and select all the folders and make them hidden (right click, properties, hidden). Now you have this really clean list of projects and the folders are still available to the system. As you create new projects you can make the folder hidden right in VTEdit as you go. If you ever need to dig into one of the hidden folder, which is rare, you can unhide it, or set your OS to show hidden folders.

Maybe I should send a Feature Request that VT makes them hidden by default or a choice in Preferences.

I sent that one too

Send another, they count because they go in a database

If I just send mine over and over it still justs counts as another idea, that may or may not be good.

I am going to use your tip on my existing projects.

The only problem I see is accidently selecting a CG book that you want.

Yeah, i don't like all the folders in filebin because when I search date modified I see all the folders 50% of the time and I do not know what the contents mean, but I know that I have never been able to do anything with them from a load menu.

So my request is there.

Go for it.

Meanwhile I am Going to stash som folders

Good idea in the meanwhile

thanks for sharing

wo there

Breathe that fresh air

schweet!

man, what a great tip

There used to be a tips list here somewhere and definately put this there.

Yeah, it would be awesome if the project file could do this automatically upon saving, or have the option to do it.

sorting gets a$$loads better RIGHT NOW

nice one, again

If your brain is still on full blast think of something else.

This is the siggraph functionality surprise I have needed
