I was trying to use Bones for the shockwave exporter. i made shure not to use overlapping weightmaps and i even tried to make up the bones in layout instead of doing it in modeller via skelegons. it didnt help.
everything works fine in lw but when i goto the shockwave exporter, then bones dont affect the index finger. the other fingers behave well. although every finger was made the same way.
i attached the small testfile. so if anyone is able to fix this problem i would offer him a font of free choice from our font webshop www.typedifferent.com.

You did it!
I made about 4-5 hours the same try and redid the maps and reconstructed the hand and ran crazy. You did it better than i thought it would be possible. Was it maybe because you froze the object? I made all the maps the same way for every single finger...
Thanks alot!
Wich Font would you like to have?

It is because I froze the object but some of your maps were still overlapping. You don't notice it on the other fingers because they don't move individually. I fixed the index finger but if you try and move the others it won't work right. I never fixed them, just try and create the maps simialr to the index finger. Let me know how you get on.

hello mdoyle,
well the other fingers still work allright. they did so already before you froze the object. so there was nothing to fix. but im glad they still do so - although the maps are not the same as the one you did.
thank you again, and if you tell me wich one - i would love to send you one of our fonts.
