upgrade to lightwave 7.5 from lightwave 3.5?

hi i have a student looking on ebay where there's a lightwave 3.5 for amiga for sale....
could he then get the ownership transfered to himself then upgrade to lightwave 7.5 or lw8?

Well, on their upgrade page they only list versions going down to 4.5. But it's definitely worth asking! Maybe call NewTek directly...

If he's a student, why doesn't he just buy the student version?

hi he's a student but wants to do commercial work...that's to say paid work...

so he wants a full commercial version...i think the best route is for him to buy a full seat and get the 5 dvd's really.

in the u.k whenyou buy lightwave 7.5 you also get 5 training dvd's that cover how to make a head, body,rig, animate and lipsync.

Any really old version upgrade is US$1195 I think.

Even better is the extended DFX/LW7.5+8 deal...

I am trying to get that in Canada... for something between 1900-2300 CAD + tax.
