Hi All,
I had to install a new hard drive and re-install SE.
Do you know where the customized presets I created in Toolshed would be located. Newtek Tech support did not...
Thanks!!! James
I saw an earlier thread but still could not find them.

Hi All,
Newtek Tech support did not...
.
Wow.. I think that is a perfect reflection on the respect given to one of the most powerful yet forgotten features of Speed Edit.
It's in c:\program files\newtek\SpeedEdit\user data\default user\Spline Presets
If the path is off just search for a folder called 'Spline Presets'.
Keeping a shortcut to this folder is handy, becasue removing the contents, restarting SE then replacing the contents is about the only way to sort the additions.

I found that folder and it does not have any of the presets that I made. I also did a search and found both folders (on the new hard drive and old) and still no presets that I created...
Is there a file extension I should look for? Maybe I could find them that way.
BTW, Newtek support just said copy the entire Newtek folder and they think that would do it but was not sure.
Thanks again, James

Hi James,
Sorry about the mislead. I pulled that info off the top of my head from VT-Edit experience.
For SE and probably VT-SE(?) they are in:
C:\docs and settings\(name of logged in user)\Application Data\Newtek\SpeedEdit\Spline Presets
So unfortunately saving the entire Newtek folder as suggested would not work in the case of SE/VT-SE.
Here's a post with a clunky way to do some toolshed clean-up fwiw...

I have the same problem but there is no folder for user splines and there is nothing in the user documents, speededit/usersplines. I can only find the defualt spline folder. I tried a search, came up with nothing.

Hi James,
On my system, the path reads:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\NewTek\SpeedEDIT\Spline Presets\
Hope that helps.
