Crashing LW when opening scene on another PC

I am a student studying lightwave. I am working on a complex scene at my college, however, I need to take the work home and get some work done there. The problem I am having is that when I take all the objects, scene file, image maps, etc.... home and load them on my own PC, when LW is asking me to re-source various surface images etc.... it crashes before I can finish this task.
Could anyone shed light on what could be the problem, or what I could try to get around this.

Add all plugins, quit Lw, relaunch. and try to reopen the scene.
Don't forget Input/output plugins.
you can edit the lws with Textpad (or Notepad) and rewrite the path of objects/images etc..
If it crash anyway, try to remove some line before reopen. Then u can maybe find where the problem come from...
