Greetings!

I keep reading little references to the "Tool Shed" and/or "Tool Chest" in VT[3], but I can't find any specifics as to what tools are incorporated. Does such information exist yet?

It's a little hard to explain. Basically, it is a storehouse of presets and shortcuts for DVE's and spline settings. It comes with some already and you can add your own. The manual hints that future releases of VT will incorporate more features.

I have read that it contains some of Aussie's shortcut tools he built in Co-Pilot Video and Co-Pilot Audio for the Flyer. Is this not the case?

I haven't personally explored all the built-in presets in tool shed so I can't confirm this. There are presets for auto fades of overlays (very handy), audio, markers, and projects.

One of the most awesome things that the toolbox does, is allow you select multiple clips (whichever you want) and apply the same parameters to all of them at once. It's very powerful. It includes all kinds of new features, plus consolidates some old ones, like cutting to music.
You can apply correction presets to multiple clips, or splines, or set sound levels for sound types (narration, background, sound effects, etc.), you can multiply, quantize, remove and repeat markers, you can maximize lengths, you can match peak levels, you batch insert and adjust DVE's - all kinds of things!
Hope this whets your appetite! :)

Thank you, NewTek! I've been hoping for this feature!

I really like that you can add and adjust DVEs for a range, but you can do some really neat things with the markers tool as well.

Howdy Eric, I've been busy elsewhere and just stopped by. Glad to see you here.
I'm hoping to see toolshed get a few more rooms added!;)
