Hi!
I have two issues with my Tricaster studio, that I have recently updated the software with - this is when the problems started happening.

1: Clicking the top right X and selecting "Shutdown" sends the unit into "restart" mode instead.

2: Unit freezes, while working on a 150 text slide project in the "edit text" window, the unit froze a few times - luckily after the first freeze I started saving after each slide, but there has to be a solution.

I would appreciate any help!
Thanks
~Joe

1. Restart instead of shutdown: Go into "admin" mode first and then try the standard Windows shutdown.
2. Anything plugged into the USB or Firewire ports?

Try a PS-2 mouse. This behaviour seems to happen with Windows and some USB devices.

Are format are the text slides? Are they generated right within the TriCaster using the TriCaster software?

Good call on the USB connected devices Gordon. I've actually had all kinds of trouble shutting down VTs when the Fire Wire Card is in a slot too close to the VT. I have to build them with the VT and Fire Wire card physically as far from each other as possible. So Joe.. I'd ask if you have anything plugged into the Fire Wire port. I've never seen this on a TriCaster, but it's really common with VTs
