Great hair tests!!
The problem with the Sas plugin is the reflections and shadows only!!
Your character ever seems hairless on the mirrors and just shadow maps on the Spot Lights can be used!!
You are testing FFX too?!! It looking a good soluction for hair and fur!!

easy...in how many scenes you have a reflection if your build a sasquatch scene ? ....you have not so many situations...trust me...the nother thing is that you can use a compositing program to manually add a reflection in a second pass...its only a question of handling your projekt...that sasquatch generate only shadows with spotlights its not my problem...i can do it and it looks ok....yes i will test fiber fx in the next time....but for the momet is sasquatch for grass the best tool (it render to fast and have a great animatable output)....

great grass!
Can you share your settings? or your scene?
Amazing how good SAS still looks, even with years of no updates, nice tests indeed!

Well, what if you want that grass close to a riverside or lake? In this case compositing a reflection won't be an easy job I guess.
Great looking grass btw! (The hair examples could use some more AA.)

@MATT
for real my friend...i think not "Sasquatch need a update".
I think the most users need a update...if you check the tutorials from stuart and you check all the ( f*cking complex parameters of Sasquatch)...you have good chances to created good stuff with that tool....BUT....Sasquatch is not a "one click make me a perfekt XYZ hair, fur or something tool"...Sasquatch is a tool you must understand included all parameters.only than you can rock with that tool....and that mean shut up and learn....gg* ;)

Sas is one of those tools that gives you a crazy amount of control, the graininess/ aliasing is a tough one to get rid of though, especially when the hair overlaps a non-hair surface. Hope that gets fixed some day.

Yes, Sasquatch is very good to grass!!
But I don't like for hair!!
I guess the Worley need add some upgrades on this plugin!!
1 - Accept more Light shadow types!!
2 - Real Reflections!!
3 - Volumetric Rendering!!
4 - Textured Fur and Hair!! ^^ (It's will be great) Textured leafs made by Sashquatch
5 - Meta animation controled by a subpatch model with dynamics!!
Maybe some upgrades cannot be possible, but i believe that improvements will do the sashquatch a new powerful tool!!
Actualy I using real 3D grasses cloned by HD instance!! The volumetric rendering is very good and i can animate the original grasses and copy that to clones!! ^^
But for hair I waiting the final version of FFX of the Lightwave!!
Maybe i do the grass with FFX to!!
