Playing back sound in Lightwave

Is there any way to play back sound in Lightwave? I've been looking through the manual and I haven't found anything about the subject, though I thought I read somewhere about playing back sound in Layout as I'm setting up my animation. Maybe I misread something? Whatever answer anyone has would be great.

In the scene editor there's a audio button for loading a .wav to the timeline

Thanks! I'll try it out later. Does it also load *.aiff files? I'm using Lightwave 9.3.1 on a Power Mac.
