I also still want to demo this before I even think of buying it, what with LightWave's native renderer proving very capable these days and FPrime (although FPrime is badly out of sync with current LightWave) I can't justify _another_ renderer unless I try it and I can get results faster and better than what I have right now.

Yes, I posted this in the WIP forums for reason :) This is still work in progress, so minor flaws are there, like not final GI yet...

Anyway, there is a plan to make evaluation version of the current release, at least some talk about it, nothing sure yet though...

What's the network rendering licensing like? We have about 6 PCs (including mine) at work that I can use as a render farm.

At the moment I can either use Screamernet or FPrime (by setting a render going, then whipping out the dongle for the next machine).

Is there anything about how Kray works that would not enable me to do that?

you can use both ways, Screamernet with Virtualrender ( I use this controlled by BNR) or the slightly dubious dongle-pull licensing.

One license can be run on up to 5 machines (numbers of cpu's doesnt matter)< in fact there are no limits.

Once a time, I search for Kray to make renderings of arquitetural visualization, but with the LW 9 release I forgott it!!
The LW9 rendering for arquiteture is very very faster!!
And the lightning sources are more easy to adjust!!
But, it's just a personal opinion!!
