Looking pretty good there Tippsy. So how ya gonna do the strings, model them one at a time or use a transparent image plane with a bunch of lines in it?

I was gonna model each of them unless your strategy would work and look real good but I dont exactly know what you mean with the transparetn image plane. ( kinda new to lightwave)

That's where you could texture a flat plane with the colors of your strings ie. bronze, gold, and yellow, then you could create another image map filled with a solid white color with black lines in it of varying widths and put that image into the transparency channel. It would make all of the areas in between your strings transparent.

It would look good except if you want to get a really close render of your piano which then you could tell that the strings are flat.

New updated picture. The main thing I still need to do is fix the front logo on it.

The strings look good. Are you drawing from any paticular piano for inspiration?

Just a Steinway grand piano.

Tippsy, the piano is looking good, my main criticism is that the edges are too sharp. try rounding them off a little with Rounder or edge bevel.
