my dongle key is borken

After noticing that key dongle shuts down my system I have opened the front part of it when I noticed it has metal prongs jutting up:thumbsdow. What I have found from a tech. hardware technician is that any device can shortcurcuit the the board in my case laptop and damage it. Actually this is exactly what was happening but I was lucky since it did not brake my logic board. I guess its borken What can I do?8/

You could email NewTek and ask for a new dongle.

Contact NewTek support.
I have heard they are very support when this problem occurs.
You will have to send the broken dongle to them and you'll get a new one.

I believe you have to have your LW registered too.
