Im using lightwave for a game im creating, so i cant do any surfacing, just textureing.... i can model good enough and i can uv map too, but i cant texture worth crap!

A nice way to create textures is through Texturemaker (formerly known as I-Tex).
I often use it and it's quite nice (and payable :-)

flay.com is the place tutorials and links and you could see whats over at cgtalk.com in the lightwave forum

wow, texture maker is simply GREAT for making tile textures! i wish i had the money to get that!!!
but i dont want to make tile textures, im texturing guns for my first person shooter, so i need a way to make really detailed textures for guns!
i dont think there are too manny tutorials for that kind of stuff, so if anyone has a lot of experience making/textureing guns, please contact me!
