Ut2

Ive just been sent a .ut2 file, what is this format and can i get it into lightwave without to much pain.

I think that is an Unreal Tournament map file... not sure what opens it though...

Yeah i just found out. I have not got a clue how you would open one of these files.

Having been a user of Unreal Ed for a while I may be wrong, but I think Unreal Ed / Unreal Engine are the only things that will open it. one fairly cheep way to have a look at what's inside should be to check out RoboBliz, a simple $15 game that comes with Unreal Ed. It probably depends on what version of the engine it was made with though.

Yeah ive got a mate who has ut3, he has tried to load it in the editor but it crashes, maybe because it is ut3 or though it will attempt to load it.
