i got to work this morning and i tried to render some video, and all the options for rendering formats are gone, i only had still image or wmv options.
same with capturing, i can't capture any video because any option it gives me for format is still image sequence.
why?!!
this is horrible.. :help:

Try running the 'Reset Configurations' (VT5) or 'Apply Default User Settings' (VT4) or 'Oops I Messed Up My Configs' (VT3) from the VT directory.

Just curious, milena: Is your system connected to the Internet regularly? If so, do you have Automatic Updates turned off?
Or, is your system drive in need of being defragmented?
To be candid, while glad you're back up and running with VT, I'm wondering what might have caused an apparent file corruption there...

my system is connected to the internet, and my windows automatic updated are on.. but i wouldn't think that that would cause my render options to disappear.
my disk was defragmented a week ago so that shouldn't be a problem.
i have to say that the problem occurred a night before while someone else was working on my machine and hence i can't tell for certain what caused the problem..

This is probably a corrupted or missing Global.loc file in the Localization folder.
A reinstall may be the safest route, although if you have a second VT5 available, try replacing the single file.
I'm glad that you fixed it, but I wanted to make sure this was mentioned for others in the forum.

I had the same exact issue I ended up having to pull the project files onto my laptop and finish the project in SE over there then re-install VT5 the next morning...
(99% of the time I bring the VT5 DVDs with me, this one time I say well I have never needed them don't chance losing them leave them at home...)

Got same issue. win7 64 bit vt5.3c
uninstalled and re-installed, copied old global.loc file in replace of current one.
Still no luck.
