Hi! We recently got our first of three Toasters running, and I'm doing my best to build product before training (SOP). In any case, I'm looking for MPEG1 and MPEG2 encoders - as well as others you'all have found useful. I'm running W2k and my target DVD authoring package is Sonic's ReelDVD for MPEG2.

as I'm sure everyone will chime in very soon...
TMPGEnc is what most users use... you can download a demo here:
http://www.tmpgenc.net/
I use DVDit PE with TMPGEnc and it works great... if you search this forum you should find many posts as well as some great how tos..

Dont forget with T3 you will be able to export from TED without rendering to an intermediate file. Yippee!!!
I spent months and months looking for and trying MPEG encoders and imho TMPEGenc is by far and away the best

On a side note: Has anyone tested VT[3] with the Cinemacraft Encoder ( http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/ccebasic.html) ?
It is much faster than TMPGEnc and produces amazing results.

Hi Pete,
You can get the demo for free, and the small version is around 68$, very competitive.
You don't want their on-line encoder though, last time I checked it was around 20.000$ turnkey.
Cheers,
Mike
