Damn, man, that sucks. I will keep mine on a short leash (at least for a few days ..)

Like your backhoe work by the way, hope you get it into 9.3 ..

I meant was If, I Lost my Dongle, smashed it, got burned up, or whatever else could happen.

If, I could get a replacement with the same Dongle # ?

I would phone newtek and ask. I have mine insured for the full upgrade cost on the assumption that a lost Dongle means buying a new license. Never asked what LW policy is on that .

If you break your dongle you can send it in and get a replacement free (or close to free), if you lose it, there's a fee for replacement (about $160 according to inigo07). However, in both cases the replacement will have a new lock ID and you will have to re-register your LW and any plugins tied to the dongle.

As iconoclasty said, there's no way of regaining the same Lock ID.

I went through my Homeowners insurance , and they added it just like any valuable property like a stamp collection or camera. They did require a statement from the company involved stating cost to replace if lost (like in a fire) . At the time home content insurance did not automatically cover computers or software.
