JVC SR-VS-20 Deck Compatability Problems

Speed Edit was working well with my JVC SR VS 20 deck...then suddenly the audio was not playing through the deck. I have confirmed no problem with firewire and deck connection to PC...I can hear one second of audio then nothing after opening the program and playing the time line..Has anyone else had this problem? I posted another thread about the same problem and felt I needed to make myself known to others who have the same deck.
