I have not seen the movie for a very long time. Someone linked to the ending clip where they are walking and singing the Mickey Mouse song.

Now, this is a youtube impression, but, man that fire looks awesome. I am not saying it was CG, I am saying it was a really cool shot.

That's some great reference... and a fantastic movie as well!
It's amazing how much depth can be created by good cinematography.
Terrence Malick's films often give me shivers visual wise. That guy is insane anyway... here's a "fire" example from "Days of Heaven":

I wasn't too keen watching it then, but was really surprised in the end. Similar experience with Thin Red Line. Almost 3 hours - and while feeling long, it's still not boring. I just wanted more... :thumbsup:
