I am pretty new to using the standard surfacing features, so there are no nodes being used, or UVs for that matter. I wanted to keep it simple, but make it as realistic as possible.

This was initially supposed to just be a quick, easy model and render idea, to be done in a few hours. It has taken me more than than now... but I think I am getting a solid understanding of what I am using.

Criticism and comments welcome! :)

good start, I think with soft reflections on the metal it will look better.

Hey, thanks, I'll give it a try.

Ok, worked with the procedurals on bump and reflection on both the tile and the faucet and added 10-15% blur to the environment maps.

I had already begun this over at Foundation3d, so I am feeling pretty close to wrapping it up. Any other comments are welcome. Otherwise, thanks for viewing! :)

Take a good look at the tiles and compare it with the same kind of tiles at home.
The grey(cement?) filling is completely straight and inset, quite often this isn't the case. Perhaps displacing it a little makes the image less repetitive?

Nice image though.
