Does anybody ever rendered diamonds in LW?
My main problem, well, better say two problems are:
1. I can't get a real diamonds shine and
2. Diamonds in real life do not reflect their surroundings. I mean if they are put in some yellow gold it's dont add yellow reflection to diamonds. And in real life you can't see through them. But it is not what I have. If I'll change the color of the enviroment the color of the diamond will change accordingly.
Attached is a screenshot of what I've got with turned on caustics and radiosity. Diamond model consists of inner and outer non double sided polygons facing inwards and outwards. Outer polygons have 2.417 refraction index like it's said in LW manual and inner 1.0. All polygons are flat.
So, may be anybody have a solution to these problems?
