How do you save an HDRI file from Lightwave that you can use to light a scene. For instance, I'm using Erkki's SkyGen and RefGen to create a sky and a panorama of the sky. Now I'm adding the HDRI image processing plug-in that comes with Lightwave, but I'm not sure if it is working. When I bring in the final image into Lightwave and render the scene, it appears to be a tad dark. Now if I add the Full Precision image processing plug-in to the panorama, it improves by directly affecting the lighting across the board. Now I would assume that the darks should stay dark (or there abouts), and the lights should intensify.
It might just be me, but all help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Here is an image that you can take a peak at...

Why use the "Full Precision image processing plug-in" (which one, full prec. gamma?) instead of the Brightness setting in the Image World settings?
How are you using the "HDRI image processing plug-in"?

I used the default HDRI processor. As I'm not too sure what to do with it. I tell you. HDRI files are huge. But I'm wondering if all the data is being saved. I wish I could edit the HDRI in photoshop (on a Mac here).
I used the Full Precision Gamma image processor due to the fact that I thought it would be more fair to the layers of the image. The brightness settings in the Image World were really blowing out the colour of the sky in the background (too hot).
I hope I can become reasonably good at this stuff in the near future. All work and no play...
