Video Mixer for Studio

When will the video mixer with the additional buttons for Studio be available?

Maybe we were misinformed. We were told when we ordered the studio that a new version of the video mixer was in the works for the TC Studio, since it has 3 additional inputs.

We hate to invest in the current VM if a more appropriate version is in the works.

Does anyone have any further information on this?

There have been persistent rumors of a replacement for the RS-8. My two cents, I'd wait...

Personally, I decry the descriptive term "video mixer", but that's another matter altogether. That said, do know that the new version that's being worked on will also have an additional row of buttons, so as to accommodate the EFFECTS row seen in the TriCaster STUDIO™ and TriCaster ProFX™ user-interface, and doubtless even more functionality... The cost of this new remote switcher module, and the timetable for its release has not yet been made public (if it's been determined at all at this stage).
