The majority of our titles/cgs in the past have been built using Pinnacle Deko (...a major expenditure) and we have gigs of re-useable stuff in Deko (.dko) format.

If we were to install Pinnacle TitleDeko Pro (v1.3) on our VT[2] build 3890 will there be any issues? Obviously, the proprietary format of the output files of Deko will be a hitch (albeit a minor one - we'll just "export to" tga/tif) are there any known incompatibilities? Any problems we should be aware of?

Thanks...as always!

Once the files are converted to a file that T[2]/VT[3] can read, I don't see why there would be any problem.

...it's the "can-these-two-apps-peacefully-co-habitate" thing.

For example, I have heard installing M$ Office on the VT[2] is bad because it uses drive-indexing.

Oops. Oh yeah. There are some apps that cause problems. (I have to reboot everytime I use Sound Forge).

I'd be surprised if Title Deko was a problem, but I couldn't say for sure.

Paul?

I'm running Microsoft Office XP under Windows XP Pro alongside Video Toaster [2] build 3890 with no problems whatsoever.

VT seems a lot more tolerant than some apps I could mention (Avid, are you listening? :D)

Dan re the drive indexing you can make sure its off on your video array by going into the disk properties plus of course auto configure will switch it off for you....

Shouldn't be any problems, Dan.
