....I'm assuming the statue is 3D? ;)
Looks okay. I would tone down the reflections abit. This may sound childish, but the one on the "lower body" is a bit too much of the center of attention because of the reflection. o.0 ;)
Looks pretty good but I think you should dirty it up a bit. Maybe add some bird droppings. :D

Nice work!
Another small comment to make, if you have your 'Ambient intensity' settings on 20, you could take it down to 10 to darken the shadows and make them more pronounced. If you have already, then ignore me, it looks like the shadows are a bit lighter than the shadows under the bushes.
Nice WIP, want to see how this one turns out!

I would add an "Image World" Filter to get that HDRI look, im not sure if you used it but it might help with some of the reflections

hi
some details..
the statue [the lightwave 3d object!!] has a reflection map that is this photo [background digital pik]
i put this into imageworld
there's one area light and ambient is set to around 10 then i turned on radiosity and pumped it out at 4x12
..oh and yeh that chap is too stiff!...real stiff!
this is for a project i've set for the students i teach
it will be a short film based off of the matrix [yeh i know!!...yawn!]
they will be making cg objects to composite made in lightwave and 3dsmax [3dsmax is what's taught at the college mainly]
then we have shot real footage on dv and will also have a digital actor replacement
the fx will be composited in discreet combustion
all of that will then be edited in prem 6.0
that should keep then busy for a week or two!
when it's finished i'll host it on my site [if it looks good!]
