Faking glow in Fprime?

Since I can't use the glow in the surface editor in Fprime, has anyone come up with a technique to fake a glow that will render in Fprime?

You can make a matte pass of that surface with FPrime (or make a simple/fast render with ID Materials enabled - RPFs - with LW renderer) and add a glow effect in post by isolating only that surface.
